Making waves: PlayStation XMB headed to new Sony Vaio laptops

Considering that the XMB won an Emmy award (get ready for a mouthful: "The Emmy Award for Outstanding Innovation and Achievement in Advanced Media Technology for the Best Use of Personal Media Display and Presentation Technology"), you can't deny the fact that the graphical user interface of the PS3 and PSP is indeed making waves... LOL, did I just make a pun there?

Now, Sony's announced that they'll be incorporating the XrossMediaBar up, down, left, and right into their latest line of Vaio mobile laptops, the Vaio FW series. This line of notebooks will have the new Media software that uses the XMB interface.

To further sweeten the pot, you can hook up your PS3 or PSP to the Vaio FW, via DNLA server. Now how's that for interconnectivity? Throw in that Bravia too - its V4500 HDTV series also has the XMB, y'know.
