Wolfenstein 3D v4.5: now with Wolf 3D full version support

Comment from BaSHhAR - Image 1

Your requests have finally been answered! Right after releasing Wolfenstein 3D v4.0 yesterday, Zack emailed us yet again for another update. Apparently, support for Spear of Destiny in the previous version wasn't enough. The biggest improvement for Wolfenstein 3D v4.5 is that it finally includes support for the full version of Wolf 3D!

Aside from support for the full version of Wolf 3D, this release also contains every other feature in previous versions: Spear of Destiny support, PSP Phat/Slim support, the works. Check out the readme for more details. Meanwhile, here are some notes from the developer:

Known Bugs:

  1. Make sure you have no "CONFIG.WL6" files in the wolf3d folder. This can cause the game to crash on boot. Having wolf3d save files in this folder may also cause it to crash on boot.
  2. Letting the game go past the wolf3D title screen on boot can cause the game to crash when pressing start/enter (to enter the game menu).

It is recommended to press either cross or start once you see the title screen.

Saving/loading buggyness is still there. I didn't even get chance to look at it yet. It's on the todo list for v5.0

Changes In This Version:

  • Added support for Wolf 3D (full version)
PSP developer Zack also adds a note to the users that running the full version requires some .WL6 files. More information and installation procedures are included in the readme text file found in the archive. Zack also says  that he intends to fixed the bugs listed above for the next version, Wolf3D v5.0.

Thanks for the email, Zack!
