PSP-VE v1.0.2 - Vectrex emulator for PSP

PSP-VE v1.0.2 - Vectrex emulator for PSP - Image 1

Straight from homebrew developer zx-81 is a new emulator designed to run on Sony's PlayStation Portable. PSP-VE v1.0.2 is based on the same Vectrex emulator created for Linux and Windows by the author Valavan Manohararajah.

Vectrex on the PSP was released about a week ago and arrived with issues with audio and performance. PSP-VE v1.0.2 solves that with a completely re-written engine for sound and an optimized "rotate 90' view" addresses the concerns with the fluidness of visuals. Other changes include:
  • Major speed improvements: 6809 emulation, vector rendering, remove vector cash (buggy and time consuming)
  • Sound emulation completely rewritten and inspired from 8910 driver of xmame.
  • The rotate 90' view is now much faster and it is used as default render mode.
  • Save state modification, it is now faster to save state (but previously saved games are not compatible with this new version!)
  • Add .vec and .gam file extention as valid rom extention
  • Add option to change color between gray and blue
As with all homebrew applications from zx-81, usage and installation instructions can be coursed through within the bundled documentation. Note that the source included in our downloads is under version 2 of the GNU public license, so developers wishing to extract some code must read the text file called Copying. Enjoy!
